I think it's an awesome idea. Maybe along with the taco you should throw in a blue STi that would also be a good idea.

this is a better quote to fully catch the win, it even mentions the former Rambler dealer "...Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC). TMS opened its doors for business in 1957 at a former Rambler dealership in Hollywood, California, "

TheSolMan!!!! The Winner!!
Were talking a Taco on Mr Fuji. The model was a Toyopet CROWN (I'll throw in the upgrade to Tomatos and Sour Cream).
The very first U.S. Toyota sale was a Toyopet Crown. It had a 60 hp thumping out of its crazy 1453cc 4 cyl. motor. (This info is from Augest 21st edition of AutoWeek magizine). Just think, now these guys may be the biggest U.S. auto maker. Im not sure if they took the number one spot yet.
Congrats!

And for tomatoes and sour cream who designed the first Panda?

The designer was right but you're going to have to show me where you got your info on the motor size because as far as I am concerned there was never that large of a motor in any of the three generations of Panda. If you can't show me a reliable source than that question is still up for grabs.

Sorry man, because anybody can go and put anything they want on wikipedia it cannot be considered reliable. All the official sites that I have found do not list that motor as an option for any of the three generations. And any sites that I have found that list a 1.4l take their info from wikipedia. Take another stab at it.
The taco is still up for grabs.

NEW QUESTION!!!
After watching Test Drive on Speed tonight, they talked about the new Pontiac Turbo Solstice (however you spell it) GXP as having the highest H.P. per Litre in GM history, as well as being one of the highest in its sports car segment. Its 260hp or 130hp per Litre . The turbo is a 2.0 litre. They talked about the Porsche boxter and the Evo being at the top as well. The Evo, depending on year, looks to be 137 to 142hp per Litre. I dont know what the boxter is. But they missed one-
There is a car in factory production today with 183hp per litre! It is currently sold in the US. For a taco, what is the make and model.

that would be measured in thrust-force actually, 34.02 MN (7,648,000 lbf)

however i cannot find the "mpg" at takeoff. it is SUPER HIGH when in orbit though, becuase it only thrusts once to leave a planet, and again to stop at the next. those numbers are SUPER HIGH!!
however, it's usually measured in "Newtons per kilometer per second" or something like that if i remember correctly. not MPG, but rather the burn rate.

Good job Devlish. 160 million horsepower according to the history channel. One free taco for Devlish. He he I bet he's a no show. Probably thinking up an excuse right now.
So anyone want to guess how far the Saturn V rocket will get on 1 gallon of fuel on takeoff. For the taco upgrade of course. BTW the taco upgrade is sour cream and tomatoes. Not cheese. The regular taco comes with cheese.
devlish
02-27-2007, 04:41 PM
found this, but don't doesn't sound right: Saturn V (rocket), 10 inches to infinity on one gallon of fuel. (While the Saturn consumes enormous quantities of fuel in its early stages, once it escapes the earth's gravitational field no more fuel is consumed.)
found this too: "a Saturn 5 burned somewhere around 4000 gallons of fuel and oxidizer per second on takeoff" while another place said " Saturn 5 burned somewhere around 1000 gallons of fuel and oxidizer per second on takeoff". so someone is wrong.
rocketship fuel economy is measure by ISP though if i remember from all the reading i did today.
the rocketship transporter, however, uses 125.7 Gallons Per Mile
TomKat

Mitsubishi's fourth iteration of the Galant / Sigma debuted many new innovations for Mitsubishi. Their new 'Sirius' engine was offered in turbocharged form for performance enthusiasts, while for economy, an 'Astron' 4D55, the first diesel engine in a Japanese passenger car, was also available.
For the second generation in a row Mitsubishi could claim to be building an award-winning car, as this was chosen as Car of the Year in New Zealand in 1981.
From 1982 to 1983, some of the Australian Sigmas were exported to the United Kingdom with the Lonsdale badge, circumventing the voluntary import quota restrictions adopted by Japanese manufacturers. However the car was unsuccessful, and for 1983 and 1984 it carried Mitsubishi Sigma badges in the UK before imports were discontinued.
The wagon version was facelifted, although from firewall back the vehicle remained the same. Production continued in Australia until 1987 when it was replaced by the new Magna.

Colt & Lonsdale
The Colt name appears frequently in Mitsubishi's history since its introduction as a rear-engined 600cc sedan in the early 1960s. Today, it most commonly refers to the Mitsubishi Colt subcompact in the company's line-up, but is also the name of MMC's import/distribution company in the United Kingdom, established in 1974. For the first decade of its existence, before Far Eastern auto manufacturers had established their reputations, its cars carried the "Colt" badge in Britain instead of "Mitsubishi".
In 1982 & '83, Mitsubishi introduced the Australian-built Chrysler Sigma to the UK as the "Lonsdale Sigma" in an attempt to circumvent British import quotas, but the new brand was unsuccessful. It then carried "Mitsubishi Sigma" badges in 1983-84 before abandoning this operation entirely.

Here is another source:
A substantial facelift took place in 1980, though the rear end (from firewall back) of the wagon was retained. Mitsubishi officially considers this a new generation Galant (Sigma). It was Car of the Year in New Zealand in 1981. Production of the wagon model continued in Australia till 1987, when the Magna wagon came on stream. An anomaly of this Galant was that the sedan (all new body) was on a longer 2530 mm wheelbase than the wagon (previous generation body with new front sheetmetal), which used a slightly shorter 2515 mm wheelbase.
Lonsdale
From 1982 to 1983, some of the Australian Sigmas were exported to the United Kingdom with the Lonsdale badge, circumventing the voluntary 11 percent market restriction adopted by Japanese manufacturers. The car was unsuccessful. For its final year, 1983 to 1984, it carried Mitsubishi Sigma badges in the UK before meeting its demise.

it still has a specific name given to it by Lonsdale. Not something it was called as it was later introduced into the UK as the Lonsdale Sigma. THERE IS AN ACTUAL NAME FOR IT!! You're only finding the name used for it's intro into the UK. it was widely UNpopular for initial intro into the New Zealand market.

When it arrived in 1987, this Japanese vehicle had many "High Tech" features. Way ahead of the competition of its day,the front suspension had a Fiber Glass Reinforced Plastic front leaf spring to reduce mass and offer better handling. The Vehicle also had Duel Sunroofs (Front and Rear), a "Cool Box" that would heat or cool your drinks and make ice, A Rotating 2nd seat, and a 2.4 Litre Fuel Injected motor with an available 5 speed trans (rear wheel drive). There was one small problem, they liked to start on fire!
After several recalls, most were returned to the dealership, all fluids were drained and they were shipped to the crusher. Owners were offered a "buy back" program or a credit\discount on a new vehicle.
For a taco, name the Make and Model.

See, us dsm people have to buy a slow ass honda just to get some races around here. A honda is so slow, you almost have to stop and take a piss break part way down the 1/4 mile. My winter beater (LASER) was too fast for everything around here, few exeptions. So, I guess I will have to start the search for a D15. Then I will be able to run everyone.

The fastest honda in town is probably cash's S2K. The S2000 has been known to own at autocrossing events as well.
WORD ON THE STREET is that Mark Ervin has plans to make his honda the fastest car at Shawano. No vette, evo, dsm, or s2k will have a chance against the progressive supercharged intercooled hondata vtek'd SI.
If that isn't a blatant call out to everyone on this forum I don't know what is. I wonder what the outcome of S2K vs SI would be.
