I agree, a time has come to actually pay attention to our forum sections. If we can do it on our own seperate car forums(dsm's, bmw's, evo's, honda's), we can do it on here.

IMO there are plenty of forums out there for tech info. This forum is unique in the fact that most people on here know each other personally. Threads have never stayed on topic as long as I have been a member, do you really expect it to start now? I see nothing wrong with getting into a debate, even if it becomes a bit heated. Apparently some people take shit way too seriously around here. I can't comment on posts getting deleted as I haven't had any of mine deleted.

You do realize that Tom is not the only one who has the ability to delete posts and that while he does delete posts he is not the only one doing so. You can't automatically blame him for every post that ever gets deleted. People need to stop posting stupid shit, maybe their posts won't get deleted then. It's pretty obvious when a person posts something with a comment in it knowing the post will get deleted that they know they've crossed a line. That's just my opinoin...stone me if you wish.

Censorship shouldn't exist on an open forum--this all goes back to us wanting to be able to say what we want--and I don't know if you're like super christian conservative or what but there really isn't a lot of "bad" stuff being posted that needs to be deleted cause of vulgarity--stop saying that our posts deserve to be deleted cause they're stupid, that's not a good enough reason to have our words deleted.

Freedom of speech is great and all that, but with it comes a certain level of responsibility. Deliberately insulting someone or being needlessly disrespectful is an abuse of rights. People should be aware of what they say and its potential affect on others...having the right to speak your mind is a privelege that is unfortunately all too often abused. Using the right to say anything, and then doing so to deliberately hurt someone who did nothing to deserve being treated in such a manner is just plain immature. There is such a thing as discretion and tact. Just because you have freedom of speech does not mean that you are free from the consequences of what you say.
