ill need a fmic when i find one, piped on the 2nd gen tsi. i havent decided if i want them v-band clamped yet, im not a fan of the rubber connections, i may possibly just have them welded together, what would be the area of cost to have the piping welded and v-bands welded to the fmic, compressor housing, and throttle body? 4 v-bands in total?

V-Band is not necessary. Guys are running in the upwards of 30-40 psi on t-bolts and some strong couplers without any problems. Plus VPT will roll the ends of the pipe. You won’t have any issues.

thats understandable. i just like the fab look of the piping welded. mabe i will go the cost effective rout for the time being.

Shoot me a PM. We have to talk about what materials you would like to go with, size, and routing.

One problem with V-banding everything is it leaves no give for motor movement and it can end up breaking stuff. Unless you have solid mounts and whatnot than it would be fine. We may be able to hide silicon couplers for movement and still have V-bands on the visible connections for the nice fabrication look.

routing would be whatever works on the tsi "note" it has a 2g gsx front clip. the fmic ill be using is 34x6x2 and piped 2.5 outlets. do you also weld together traction/anti-hop bars? the t-bar app. would be for the eg8-turbo build.

I have build honda traction bars but haven't done any on a DSM yet.
