"This Account Has Exceeded Its CPU Quota"

I got that error message last night for both CWSCC and WI-DSM. It wasn't a message generated by cwscc.com either, it was something before I actually got onto the site, like it was from your server or something. Sort of weird, anyone else get that? It was probably around 11:30-12, then I didn't try anymore.

Yup, it was all night. No idea what caused it, but you weren't alone.

The websites used more CPU power(on average) of the webhosting server than allowed in a given time.

Usually websites are allowed to use (on average) 1% of a webservers CPU over the course of a month.

Andy's lucky they didn't just shut it down and demand a ton more money per month. It'll come to that very soon, though. Give it a few months.

maybe with other web hosting companies, i will never be charged for exceeding cpu usage.

the reason for the exceeding cpu usage is from all the registering spam bots. how about we switch to vBulletin like i have been saying for a long time. I also backed off a few of my web monitoring stuff which frees up some of the usage. SQL databases are power hungry.

Oh boy, another forum. This would be like what, the 5th one now. Cool, I can't wait.

On a side note, since this one was down last night, I went to check the old ones. Wow, those forums are hopin' with activity. :D
