The official SPSRA race season ended Nov. 10th. It was a very good year for us. I personally have not seen so much action on the street as I did this year. 9 and 10 second cars uptown regularly, plenty of action every weekend, and even the Rapids cruise night was great.

So at the end of the year I check the mileage on my cars. I was kind of shocked to find out that even though I didn't drive the Type R very much I racked up 1,117 miles on it in 2006. When I checked Zoey she only had 1,556 miles racked up even though it got driven quite regularly. Guess the trailer kept the mileage down.

FVSCC autocross and lapping day programs went great also. Hope to see more new and all the old faces out in 2007.

Thats way more miles than VPT put on his!!!! I would agree that it was a good season. Quite a few up-n-comers too.

I would hope a road car would put on more miles than a 1/4 mile car.

Very good year, except for the bust at sentry it was all good. I do agree there were alot of new people this year. I think next year will be great for me at least, with more track racing planned and with the DSM almost how i perfectly want it.

It's neat to see how times/technology change the street scene. These days the standard import street racer is much quicker. I remeber when the itchy pussy hoopty and ITR were some of the fastest street cars in town. Now we have full sized pickup trucks that are faster. (This is in reference to people that actually commute in their street cars not trailer them)

I remember when the WRX first came out and was feared by all except the AWD DSM crowd. This is back in the day when the Wausau turbo boy and turbo girl couple would come down here to get only one race from Extreme! I wonder if they are still into cars?

I'm still kinda shocked that there aren't more street racers in this area. I used to be able to cruise division and find stop light races nearly everytime I left the house. That is odd to me especially since almost everyone I know has played need for speed or some other street racing video game. You would think those games would corrupt car lovers at a very young age.

Overall I look forward to 2007. I hope to see more CWSCC members at area lapping days.

The kids playing NFS like the game, but don't get into actual building real cars, that is why you get kids racing there moms cars and drifting with a stock civic, they beat stock cars and never get serious about cars, as they don't have money or the drive to work to get the money.

2006 was a fun year. the Dells Car Show was as crazy as ever, but i fear this year it will be much more controlled, which = less fun in a way. I love to see new blood out in the evenings, but not the ones who, as PDSM says, bring their moms car. we all start somewhere, and not to say i haven't been pulled over for racing my moms car (TK & Erv will remember...) but it seems they are a tad cocky and loudmouthed. myself, i prefer to sit back and learn if i'm the newbie before i jump in and run my mouth.

i just think the younger generation is totally spoiled these days!! why bother getting in the car racing scene when mommy&daddy will buy you a new SUV or something haul your friends and 15 subwoofers in? i.e. i was out to eat with the 'other half' yesterday, and saw 2 kids aged approx 10 & 12 with cell phones. not the "parent safety phones" or whatever you call them, but actual full blown Sprint Phones. come'on... age 12?? talk about spoiled. that kid won't work a day in his life until AFTER college. he'll probably roll a car worth more than a few of ours together, but never touch a wrench in his life. this isn't to say that there aren't people in our category who weren't spoiled, but i think it's getting worse. and that definetely plays a part on the sport.

I know it's tradition or whatever to go to "The Spot" but those fucking people with the trucks in the corner who follow us everywhere are risking it for all of us.

A lot has change for me this year and it was a very good year overall. I guess I was technically a noob(to the point scene anyways) last year so its good to not feel like one anymore. Its still crazy for me to think that I met most of you just by cruising around point and having the balls to stop at the spot even though I knew NO ONE.

I dont remember. But even if we did talk online, I still only knew of your car, and the first night I went out you had the jeep. Then I followed out to some matches where I believe it was Andy and Alex's first or second time in point aswell.
