2g Higher compression pistons on the earlier 1g Rods:

Had to have some machine work done to the 1g rods to fit the 2g pistons, should work out really nicely though!!

Just curious why do you want to go higher compression?

I am going with the stock 2g pistons which are higher compression than the stock 1g pistons.

I called Sunday left a message even. It was a pc (Vista) issue but I got it worked out.

How much is that going to bump up your compression? Guessing you don't plan to run much boost, or you plan to run higher octane at all times?

i rarely check my voicemails. but i never got a missed call from you. huh, well sorry man.

the pistons I am using are the same compression as I had before, they are STOCK 2g pistons. I will be running the same boost level as i was before. the 1g pistons are much lower compression than 2g's, and I was not going to take a step down in compression, my turbo works hard enough the way it is, not need to make it work more.

ha no, i have a lot of little things to do on it yet. Dial in base timing, fab up an oil-cooler bracket, replaced f'd up power steering cooler lines, fix my air ducting, and I'm sure more other little things.

Engine runs great!
