I'm looking at selling my rental property and buying a second home in Charleston, SC. Basically I can work from home so maybe I'll move to SC for winter and move back in the Spring.

The South is the South......no denying that.....but Charleston has a little bit of everything because its a fairly decent size city yet its not a tourist trap like Myrtle Beach is. I'm not set on any one place but I would like to live within an hour of ocean and in a place that doesn't get cold. SC is a good choice because they dont get hit by storms, property is still fairly cheap, as is cost of living. Realisticly, the odds are I would move and never come back.

SC and NC are where i want to move and get settled after college is over. I've been to myrtle beach twice, and love it everytime i go, but i agree that its a to much of tourist spot. I really enjoyed the smokey mountains, especially Asheville, NC. I just hate humidity, so that might be a bit of a problem.
