One of the shortest days of the year. Lots of snow and time for snow tire testing. 10:30pm at the spot if you got some grips that you want to test out.

What a blast.
Deep snow testing: Race Accord (Hakka 2's) vs. Jeep (all seasons) - Jeep by a small margin.
High speed testing down Casmir Rd. Hakka 2's did an excellent job of dodging downed trees, road blocks, and ditches.
High speed cornering. Snow was a little too deep to get any speed on the corner test ground, but we met up with a new Jeep Liberty that got stuck.
Sara though she was begining to understand the Jeep thing, but I still don't get it.

that was fun in the snow last night. we had a scardy-cat in the jeepster though, and couldn't 4wheel-drift those corners out in the country behind you very much. didn't want to upset my passengars. next time for sure!! and i think we're finally **starting** to understand, just not fully
but thanks again for running clearance for us through those downed trees!! that was great!

I drove my mom's 2001 IWD Hyundai with brand new snow tires (Blizzaks) and I couldn't believe it. Put my TMWD (as Tom says, you Too Many Wheel Drive havin' mofo) to shame. Maybe someday the Talon will have snow shoes of his own.

yes, snow digs ROCK!! i have a full set fo 16" snow tires sitting in the shop... debating on keeping or selling. i was hoping to have a car by winter that rides on 16s, but i guess not. they are Firestone WinterForce, 205-55-16, about 3k miles on them only. about 1/2-3/4 tread left

I think Darth would like to have a nice set of snow tires. I see people selling them in the FS forum all the time. I just haven't found a need for them. I've driven the last two winters with Kumho MX on the car and it did just fine.

Like you said Evil. You just don't take out Darth out when it's nasty. Some of us really like to play in the nasty stuff instead of sitting at home complaining about the weather. 8)

Pepe is more fun to drive in the snow because I can plow through snow banks......I really don't feel like damaging the FMIC on Darth.

Carole and I did go 4wheeling on Friday......eventually we ended up at Hilltop and left there about 1am. Against her wishes I buzzed through downtown to see if anyone was out but the lot was empty and most of the power was out downtown.

My DSM hasn't broke...the brakes have been a problem and are getting replaced, but nothing has broke.
TomKat
01-04-2007, 07:19 AM
Um yeah.
-The headlights are working fine?
- The bolts on the struts are good.
- Brake calipers are working fine.
- Fuel pressure regulator
- Clutch
- Fuel cut problems
You sound like Evil and his DSM.

ok, forgot the headlights. The clutch never broke, just smoked it once, but i'm still driving on it aren't i? FPR never broke, it was because i have a bigger fuel pump in it that made it break, a stock fuel pump would not have made them break. Fuel Cut problems...when? Only because i was running too high of boost on stock injectors. The bolts, they are bolts, thats not DSM related.

I think it sounds more like Zoey to me....definately replace those headlights with HIDs, don't forget to keep an eye on that oil pressure, be sure to counter balance the car, oh and start looking for replacement suspension because 26k miles is ALOT.

LOL. My car NEVER breaks down. Well....except for... and ... and this and that don't count because they are bolts. Just regular bolts not DSM bolts. PDSM and Evil crack me up. Forget the headlights?? Oh that's right PDSM has Ninja Night Vision and doesn't need them.
I have never claimed that any GM car is free from problems. Far from it just look my Vette. BTW Zoey has 22k miles and the suspension is just fine. Those plastic springs last a good long time. I am however looking into replacing some of the bushings because it is a GM product. I never replaced the headlights on Zoey - just two of the bulbs and a relay with some extra wires. And yes she's been corner weighted not counter balanced. The stock Vette suspension is very adjustable and allows for this really neato feature.
P.S. I forgot about the front tie rod ends that I replaced this fall. But uh - those don't count because there was a full moon last night and uh - it's been warm - and uh those are just bolts sort of ish.

FPR never broke
made it break
Make up your mind Junior... you say it didn't break, then in the SAME SENTANCE you say it broke. geesh
it was because i have a bigger fuel pump in it that made it break i'll call you on this one... i had a bigger fuel pump in my Talon for 2yrs and never had an issue with the stock FPR. and i've had a bigger FP in my laser for 3+ years now with NO issues with my FPR. and i've had bigger fuel pumps in my GLHs for years as well... all the FPR work just fine.
Some funny shit right here!

thousands, and i mean THOUSANDS of people run the factory FPR with a rewired 255lph pump on their cars without any issues. (I've been on DSMTuners & Talk since before you were driving, and there's not that many issues like this.) maybe your used ones were bad to begin with? i don'tknow. and i'm not ripping on you for your car issues, but becuase in the same sentance you wrote it WASN'T broken then is WAS broken.

Ok, you got me on my sentence structure. My FPR never broke as in snapped or poped, each one started good, then failed, you got me though.
