New, only a few miles on 'em. I believe 2 autocrosses or something.....Jeske's R compounds, Ive never used them. I payed $725 for them. I need them gone asap for a down payment on a new car.

I found an Evo 9 MR that im very interested in. Only 18,000 miles and yes its silver. They only want $24,900 for it. But its in Marsville Ohio....road trip anyone???? It has lots of stuff on her too. DP, catback, intake, intercooler hardpipe, tubular exhaust manifold, and looks like it might have some type of coilover. Its at a dealership.

Yeah, I agree with Tom! Buying a car that is already modded is a major risk IMO! If the dealership has the stock parts, great. If they don't have the stock parts, I would try to see if the dealership has contact info for the previous owner, also what kind of warranty is the dealership offering if any at all??? We all know that a low mileage stock vehicle, and a low mileage modded vehicle is like night and day as far as wear and tear goes...

I would suggest finding a stock one owner car from a private party! Good luck...

I wouldn't buy an MR modded or not.

The 6 speed actually gets worse mileage than the 5 speed and its significantly weaker.

Save the money for 18s and keep the tires!

A MR has just awesome suspension from the factory. Then somebody puts crappy coil overs on it. Arrrrggghhh.

I'd buy a MR over a regular EVO though. Just keep it mostly stock. The car should also have the balance of the factory warranty.

See the thing is that they want less than the trade in value which is kinda of scary.....whats wrong with it??? But on the flip side I could easy sell it for 28-29K. If I were to buy an evo that was already modded up, I would have to know the owner first. My next car will be an evo, personally would not buy that one if I had the chance to buy it at the moment. Way to many "if's" about that one.

You should look into buying an EVO10.

Many places are now selling them at invoice and 0%. If you picked up the RS it may end up costing you less over the 5 year loan.

If you do still plan on getting an 8/9 be advised that all the advantages of the MR are outweighed by the negatives especially if you plan to swap the suspension. Gears 4-5-6 are thinner and weaker than old school DSM gears. Most of the MR guys are swapping out their 6 speeds with the 5 speed tranny. This leaves the suspension as the only perk.

They have a beautiful blue EVO X in Appleton. They actually let me sit in it. :? It was nice.

Also test drove a new Acura TSX, TL, and TL Type S. Nice cars, but the salesman there was irritating. :(

Went to BMW to test drive a 5 series. My Dad and myself were just ignored.

Then I saw a Lexus IS F drive by. Hurried on down to the Lexus dealer where we were greated right away and they pulled the IS F into the garage so that I could take a look at it out of the weather. No test drive, but I was able to start it and rev it up. Sweet ass car. I was really impressed with the Lexus dealership.

I'm down in Reno at the mitsu dealership 11 08 evo 9s lined up in front of the building and several evo 8s to the side the 9s r assorted models and colors I was looking at a white mr but damn all starting around 40-45 daaaamn I will get some pics if we go back tommarrow

Today I looked at the blue EVO X at the mitsu dealer in Appleton....its very nice! The seats are really confortable, I love the front end, oh and I also really love that they dont have car keys!!

They dont have keys? Did the dealership loose them? :wink:the key is molded into the ingnition...you still turn it like a key though. You carry a little remote like I have for the audi and when the car senses the remote in the car, that is when it will only start. And when you manualy unlock the doors (instead of using the remote), on the outside of the car next to the door handle is a button you press instead of a key hole like you would normaly use. Its neat how the car is set up...i like it alot, very high-tech alarm system. Go check it out on your way up to the autocross on sunday, its worth it.
