Day one: We roll out of town ahead of schedule just before midnight.

Smokey consuming plenty of diesel along the way.

First stop White Castle because Extreme had some White Castle coupons. :(

TomKat and T.C. were tricked into choking down a breakfast sandwich. Blah.

Next stop Bowling Green, Kentucky. Unfortunately Extreme finds another White Castle and has more damn coupons. :(

Unfortunately we could not take any cameras or cell phones into the Corvette plant. So we had to use the free post card that they give you at the end of the tour. We almost got to see a pre-production ZR-1, but they moved it before our group got to the end of the production line.

On top of the castle over the entrance of the cavern. Extreme was so thrilled after driving for 15 hours straight we could hardly keep him awake.

We stayed overnight at the request of DSMGirl just north of Atlanta. The next morning on the freeway as Smokey passed a semi we heard a loud BANG - thinking someone just light off a bunker buster. Just a tire on the trailer of the semi.

Upon returning to the freeway after our little Georgia nut detour there was some poor fellow hitch hiking on the on ramp to Interstate 75. Well Extreme let Smokey rip and gave that poor guy a huge cloud of diesel smoke. Poor bastard. I think all of these Southerners are going to hate the Wisconsin rednecks after this trip is done.

So TomKat decides to start playing pranks. We went out to the beach last night about 10pm. While the elevator was going down I pressed the elevator button on the 2nd floor.

Upon returning to the motel up the stairs I go. I pressed the elevator button on the 4th floor. Heh heh.

The elevator door opens on the 4th floor. Extreme thinks they are on the 6th floor. T.C. catches the fact that they are only on the 4th floor. Extreme goes trucking over to room 401 (not 601). The door of 401 was open and he barges right on in. Upon opening the door he spots 2 teenage kids sitting at the table. We went to Saint Augustine tonight for a haunted tour of the town. We decided to eat at a Mexican local restaurant. Bad experience. Plus they added a 15% service charge on the check. I don't like it when restaurants do that. It's a crap shoot with the mom and pop places. Oh well.

To add insult to injury we were too late to get on the tour. :x

Tonight we hit up a local seafood restaurant Down the Hatch at Ponce Inlet. Cien wanted some swordfish so we called around and this was the only one we found with this on the menu.

Another strikeout. :( The swordfish didn't taste all that great and Extreme's shrimp scampi was more like shrimp skimpy.

T.C.'s shrimp dinner got good reviews.
