I got sick of that electrical problem I had before and just changed the alternator and most cables again......... But now, every time I turn the key off everything resets and the head unit and heater won't work for the first few minutes......... Does that sound like any fuses familiar to anyone? Even if the car is running and was driven for 20 minutes, if I turn the key off, start the car again, there's no cd player or heater for the first few minutes.
Not sure if the battery still drains while it's running, I charged it last night so I'll wait and see if it runs out again I guess.

that sounds really odd...
Does the battery die everytime to or does it just reset everything?

It resets....... I can have the headlights on while the heater and headunit and rear defroster, etc. won't work and they aren't dim or anything, and it has no problems starting up.......

maybe a relay someplace that is not kicking on/off. Should get a wiring diagram and find where the relay's are, and replace them.

The Alt. 100A fuse under the hood is blown..... I completley forgot I hit the wrench on the frame or some shit when I forgot to disconnect the battery and I didn't check it after that....... I'm gunna go and replace it in about an hour and hope it fixes at least some of it....... On tuners, ECU's were the problems for a few people, but more early first gens. I guess we'll see........

Well it fixed the no electronics for first few minutes problem....... But not the mystery of the non-charging battery. I can't believe I haven't figured this shit out yet. How many more things can cause it........ I have a feeling it'll be a waste of time, but maybe I should rip out the ECU?

Well, your car is a lemon, so.... Also, why not grabbing another ECU out of a different 2g AWD manual and test it? Theres gotta be another around town, haha.
