OMG what a waste of money.
I wonder if the slots in those rotors will shed off the mud that Evil will be driving through this spring when mudding season comes into full swing.

like that heavy jeep needs to stop any better....
Oh god, just to many things to say, can't stop laughing.

Wow, just...wow, when those rotors suck for cars, why get them for a jeep??

cross drilled and slotted do not suck. I put them on a few of my cars and I can notice a HUGE difference. The problem with slotted rotors is you will tend to eat through your pads much faster.

TK...come in here, stock rotors are better, especially for these situations.

Slutty and cross drilled rotors will cool the brakes better, but unless you are at Road America or Blackhawk and are really pushing your car hard I doubt you'd ever notice a difference.
Plus cross drilled rotors will crack way before a solid rotor will and of course they work like cheese graters on your brake pads.

Your forum daddy pretty much states the truth so you can get his dick out of your mouth any day now. Let me quote it for you:

.
Exactly. You wont notice a difference except for they fact that my wallet still has a few hundreds in it that it wouldn't have had I purchased stock replacements.
The front rotors on the jeep were warped when I bought the vehicle. The grand cherokees have a notorious problem with rotor warpage. The very powerful V8 engine and weight of the vehicle seem to stress the front rotors. A properly maintained jeep that is driven aggressively has a front rotor life of about 10k miles.
Many many jeep owners on JeepsUnlimited.com have tried these ebay rotors with great success. They are just as good, if not better, than the $400 stock rotor replacements.
Visually I really dont care if they are slotted or drilled as you can barely see the rotor behind the jeeps wheels. If the last longer and cool better then you tards can laugh all you want. I love my jeep.
mmm Jeep, changing the oil, change the rotors too. Its a jeep thing, no one will understand

Hopefully you understood the V8 power comment was a wise ass remark not to be taken seriously. The actual 10k mile warping problem is caused by the caliper. There are two types of calipers an old and a new version. The new version supposedly corrects the warping issue. My jeep has the new calipers so I don't suspect I will have warping problem every 10k miles.
My rotors appear to be the original factory units that simply need replacing due to mileage. Thankfully the ebay rotors had been tested so I was able to replace them pretty darn cheap.

I'd of bought Auto Zone rotors and slapped them on every 10k miles for a lot less $$$$$.
If those Jeeps have a rotor warpage problem then I'd bet those slutty and crossed up rotors will be bad in 5k miles. The less metal in the rotors the more prone to problems.

is it correct that warpage is caused by heat?
is it correct that the cross drilled and slotted act as a way of cooling?
Put the two together and i feel the problem should be cured.

Yes but it takes less heat to crack a drilled and slotted rotor.

Less metal = warp easier.
Then they will crack easier from the heat and warp.
Those rotors may look really pretty, but they aren't the solution to the problem. If heat is the problem then I'd suggest brake cooling ducts.

I was thinking about this in class, and it dawned on me about what he said about his EVO rotors. Maybe he just bought these also because they're cheaper than buying stock rotors, possibly because jeep stock rotors are weird or something, so this was an effort to save money also. Just another angle?

Why not get some ceramic rotors made?
I agree with tomkat on the mass issue. Although these are supposed to cool better, the lack of mass means that the heat generated will be more intense.

oops!
You get what you pay for, may be cheaper now but 5000 miles from now it won't be cheaper.

the mass of the cross drilled and slotted is not that much less than of a solid rotor.

You folks don't listen very well.....
1. These rotors have been proven to be very good by many people that have had the problematic calipers.
2. I do not have the problematic calipers.
3. These are cheap replacement that are known to be just as good as stock.
4. My rotors simply needed replacing because of high mileage.
I'm sure they will be just fine. Please do not worry about me I am a big boy. My jeep will look pimp with those slots and dots.

Calm down guy. I would have bought the same thing if I was in your position.
Now you just need a big aluminum spoiler on the roof of that biotch. Vpt can help you bend that up with his new bender..........

You'll need one on the hood too, what good is downforce only in the rear if you can't have it in the front too with AWD? VPT might have to tap into his SMIM materials to make this for you, but it's a wise investment...

Car support......you already have too many vehicles. You should sell all but two and use the left over money to take you wife on a nice vacation thanking her for supporting you (in more ways than one) all these years.
