Im looking to buy a rocket sometime soon, my expectations less than 10,000 miles, and no ancient bikes. looking to spend no more than $7500, thats about it not very picky on brands either. thanks

search craigslist... you'll have a lot of options with those requirements. pretty wide open. great price range to work with, and if you don't care on brands... you'll definetely have lots to choose from!

Buy a new helmet 9 seconds after you buy the bike. I'll feel better.

Opinion: You shouldn't worry about miles on the bike too much. If it has 75,000 miles on it, yeah... but if it has 20-30k I wouldn't think twice about a good deal.

yeah craigslist is pretty much where i've been looking, but im just seeing what might be for sale in the area so i dont have to drive very far, but i'll drive if i have to

there are a few good online places that only handle "last year's" stock of helmets, jackets, gloves, etc... and the prices are usually very very good!! just need to make sure you know the correct sizes, and you can get some great deals.

good luck with the bike search, been thinking of doing that myself this spring. but should have done it last fall when bikes were cheaper.

hey, my neighbor is trying to sell his 2001 yamaha yzf 600R i think it has like 6,000 miles give or take now i know you said no accident bikes, and i figured I would tell you this before i got you his phone number if your interested. He hit a deer on this bike, now I know what your thinkin, but I personally rode the bike, it is straight, no shakes all the way through 150, didnt have the balls to go any faster. Now the bike was never put down, it tweaked the forks and smashed the radiator and fairing. all has been replaced with new stuff. now that being said, the price he offered me was like $2400 ish, it has a vance and hines stainless exhaust as well. its a sweet bike, black. really cool. if your interested I will get you his phone number if you would like. the bike is in mosinee WI.

I don't want to sound like one of 'those people' but I'm not a Suzuki fan. With that said, the 07 GSX-R 600 was highly praised in pretty much every magazine that tested it. Talk them down a few hunderd bucks and you have a deal.
