People don't like saving money? I say save some then laugh at people when their broke and you now have 10,000 instead of 2,000.

saving $2000 wont get you $10,000. You need to spend that $2000 on an investment to come out with $10,000.

Vacation. Hands down.
If you are single .... go get some strange ass in a strange place.
If you are "in a relationship" get some familiar ass in a strange place.

I've made a few mistakes, I need far more than $2,000 before I can think about spending it on myself. But if I had $2,000 for myself, It would probably go towards a rebuild for the Talon, or sell the Talon and add the $2k to it and buy a new one.
a case of beer and a bunch of cheap hookers

Shhhhh
Vacations are over rated, memories aren't worth 2k. Material things are worth 2k. I like to enjoy my spent money for more than a week.

So you go on a vacation and have a blast living large. You think you'll only be able to remember those good times for a week?
Most material things depreciate and are forgotten.

For me, I'd spend that 2k on the house/garage. Remodel something or expand the garage, and I'd get that back come time to sell the house. Plus I'd enjoy it every day.

I would say that too is money well spent.
But most of these yahoos are going to spend it on EBAY.

If I had $2000, I would pay for Evil's new clutch so I don't have to hear about that damn stock clutch anymore. Then there would not be anymore of this damn roll on crap.

Only thing I remember about my trips anywhere is how much money they all cost.
To date I have spent well over 10k on trips and vacations and I think to myself WOW what a waste of money.

Not necessarily. Different strokes for different folks. If VPT wants to spend his money on stuff that his choice. You can't make that decision for him.
I really disagree with some of the posts on this thread, but who am I to say. This is all personal opinion and no one should force another view on anyone else.

this town sucks and dosent suck...u can have fun..depending who u hang out with and where. i love it alot more tho now that i live in waupaca it's nicer about 2-3 weeks AFTER you return from a trip. its "nice to be home" sometimes. otherwise, yeah, it's a good community to live in i think. not so much if you are the adventurous type or enjoy going out to clubs and such. but a good, safe community overall. with enough to do to keep you out of trouble if you look hard enough.

$2000.... I could be responsible and pay off my last loan and be debt free... or I could blow it on a 60" 1080p HDTV. I'd probably go TV, since I'm feeling completely irresponsible at the moment.

The tree was your fault Mr. Backup Helper.
How in the hell was I supposed to know the brakes would quit working on the Pakistan wagon when I shut it off. Damn hydroboost.
I said watch out for that tree before you plowed into it. You even had time to reply back to me before you hit it.

Yeah VPT I believe it went something like this: Watch out for (BAM) tree.
Devlish- The vehicle was the Pakistan Safari Wagon. The driving maneuver was the "Safari Swirl". Damn that was fun until the transmission blew out. Now I want another wagon like that.
Yeah VPT I believe it went something like this: Watch out for (BAM) tree.
NO NO it went exactly like this: Andy: Watch out for that tree. Tom: what tree (BAM). Tom: Oh, what, ehh.
