This is primarily for TK, but just a reminder that the season premier for the coolest show ever starts tonight.

Well I guess that's just my opinion, but hey, oh well.

On a side note, what kind of shows do all you people watch. Just out of curiosity.

I like the show, but I missed two episodes right in the beginning of last season, so I figured I'd wait until it came out on DVD. Now I just need to find the time to watch that...then I can watch this season when THAT comes out on DVD. Never enough time!

Even more unrealistic than the first one? Is that possible?

If I want some realistic drama I'll go uptown.

VPT
02-06-2008, 12:43 PM
But the show started out realistic and everyone was excited and happey. Than shit started running around in the jungle and it was all downhill from there. I was excited to see how they were going to live and try to get rescued or rescue theirselves but than NO!

TomKat
02-06-2008, 12:44 PM
Realistic. Give me a break. The monster and polar bears that threatens them.

It's just a really cool modern day Gilligan's Island.

And after the first episode it was nothing like gilligans island.

I've been watching from the start, but whatever happened to the monster and polar bear? It was all "Lord of the Flies" for a while there, but then the monster and polar bear disapeared... or did they?

I have season 3, but it's not like the first two i lent you. We burned them on dvd while they aired. so let me know when you want them. It's kinda funny sometimes when you watch them, because occasionally a weather alert or something will scroll along the bottom that's all out of season.

Not to get to technical, but I would have to "finalize" them first, in order for you to watch them on your dvd player, which takes a little time, because there is about 10-15 disc to do. So give a day or two notice.

Have any history channel or discovery channel stuff?

No I do not. And if I did, I wouldn't let you borrow it anyways! Kind of along the same subject though, my wife and I just recently signed up for Netflix. So for it's pretty good. Just $9 bucks a month, and you can get as many movies as you want, one at a time. And they have everything, so if you were really in the market for shows from discovery or history channel, you could most likely get those. For example, our latest dvd we got in the mail is the first disc to "The Planet Earth" series. Supposed to be pretty good. Just wish I had a big ass, HD TV to watch it on.

They shot the polar bear in the first season. Last season answered where the polar bear came from.

I had NetFlix free for 2 months, and honestly the service was so slow I stopped using it even though it was free... I even had 2 movies at a time.

SPSRA
02-07-2008, 01:33 PM
Really? How long ago? Because when ever we return a movie, the next one shows up in our mail in about 3 days. If we really hard core into it, we could probably get about 2 movies a week.

Another part of the package we got, was instant viewing of a lot of movies on our computer. Its nice and all but the selection for that is pretty limited. But like I said, we just got it, so we have to give some time to see if we think its worth it.

TSi_II
02-07-2008, 02:35 PM
It was a promotional thing for them when it first started out, I'd say well over a year ago. (My memory could be, and probably is, serving me wrong though) That probably was most of the reason why. In the month and a half I had gotten 3 wrong movies, and 1 got "lost in the mail" or whatever. It was a bad experience, but maybe I'll give it a go again now that they've got their stuff figured out.

I thought about joining the ones you can watch on your computer, but then I'd have to hook up all of the surround sound and buy huge monitor and a new computer chair.

Hmmm... I could do that. How much does a bulb for an HD (I think) Projector cost? My buddy's got one that would fit the job nicely, and it just needs a bulb. Probably be better off just buying a new one....

Could the Media Center be set-up wirelessly?
