I read that $4200 of copper wire was stolen from some farmer's farm right on Prarie.... I guess the farmer is pissed! Lucky us.

Copper is valuable right now. Sometimes people raid vacant buildings to steal the piping.

Just saw a thing on the news the other day that lots of poor people in other countries are taking apart old computers and other A/V equipment and are burning the rubber casings off the copper wires and selling it as their means of getting an income...and are majorly polluting the environment as they do it. Funny, but no one seems to criticize them for filling the atmosphere with all kinds of nasty stuff but we Americans can't even sneeze without getting chewed out! Sounds like a double standard to me...they are poor so it's ok to continuously pollute the environment, but WE are not poor so we should knock it off.

Exactly my point...we as "rich" Americans can never do anything right. If we were to help them, we'd be criticized for trying to force our views or whatever on them. If we allow them to do their own thing, we're selfish for not helping out and spreading the wealth. Grrrrr.
