The terminator is a beautiful car. The main complaints owners have are:

1. Piss poor mileage even when taking it easy.
2. Wheel hop when not taking it easy.
3. Very high insurance no matter how you drive.
4. Requirement for sticky tires or performance sucks.

1. Piss poor mileage even when taking it easy -would be drivin for pure pleasure.
2. Wheel hop when not taking it easy -5 link rear suspension is suppose to fix that.
3. Very high insurance no matter how you drive -True!!!
4. Requirement for sticky tires or performance sucks -just like nearly any RWD car.

4. Requirement for sticky tires or performance sucks -just like nearly any RWD car that has a poor balance and a horrible suspension setup made at the lowest cost possible so the greedy company can make an extra buck.

Fixed that for ya...

^^ I don't mean straight line performance. The terminators I've seen at BHFs and AUTOBAHN do very well but they need r-compounds. If you cheap out on tires for the street then you can't even enjoy the car.

I love the 03s but I wouldn't get a vert.

I don't like verts either. I don't like them in almost any car.

They need good tires because they weigh in at like 45 billion pounds.. very pathetic for a sports car if you ask me.

Um...non-turbo? Get a honda, or hell, get a neon if you want that motor. I'd rather have a honda than a non-turbo 2g dsm.

2. Wheel hop when not taking it easy -5 link rear suspension is suppose to fix that.

I don't know where I heard it or what exactly I heard (I think it was on Sirius radio somewhere), but they were talking about the Detriot Auto Show and the new Corvette that they brought out. They mentioned an Active Launch Control rear suspension. It's supposed to actively keep the rear end's suspension compressed during a launch and slowly let it back out of the "squat"... Anyone else hear about it or did I misunderstand?

You are correct. It is also in the new MotorTrend. It stiffens the rear dampeners to prevent wheel hop, and promotes the car to "squat". Look on Youtube for the open track clip of this car, it is absolutly insane!
