What is HPDE? - |
A lapping day (also called HPDE for High Performance Driver Education) allows you and your car on a track for several 20 minute sessions. HPDE's are non-competitive, and have limited passing in designated straights. It’s the best bang for your buck netting you the most seat time. Lapping days are an exhilarating way to test yourself and your car’s capabilities and improve your skills. |
Time Attack - |
Time Attack is ran in the same format as the above HPDE. The biggest difference is that every lap you make is timed. This allows you to see your improvements as well as compete against other cars with simular performance. Trophies and prizes will be awarded to the top finisher of each class.
Time Attack Classing: |
The classing is primarily separated based on drivetrain. AWD, RWD, FWD. From there we separate each drivetrain class into 2 groups, Street and Unlimited. Street class is designed for street cars with interior, street legal tires (140+ treadwear), and must have headlights, taillights, turn signals, and most other things to make it street legal. Unlimited is for fully modified, stripped down, full aero, and running Racing Tires. See the PG2012 Time Attack PDF for more info.
