2012 CWSCC Ice-Rally Series

Every event will award Series points whether the driver is there or not. The number of events to drop at the end of the season will be determined by the “51%” rule. There is no minimum number of events to attend to be considered for the Series point championship.

# Total Events to drop:
1-2 Club Events – No drop
3-4 Club Events - 1 drop
5-6 Club Events – 2 drops
7-8 Club events - 3 drops

All points are associated with the driver only, not a specific car. Furthermore, the Series points a driver earns each weekend will be associated with the class they participated in that weekend. The driver’s accumulated Series points will not transfer from class to class if they decide to change classes.

At each event the driver will accumulate Series points based on their finishing position in Heat 1, Heat 2, and final overall position in your class for that event. A driver’s final overall position will be determined by their total time of their best times in Heat 1 and Heat 2, not by a total of points awarded in the Heat races.

A driver will accumulate Overall points for an event only if they complete one timed lap for each Heat 1 and Heat 2. If a driver fails to complete a timed lap in either Heat 1 or Heat 2, no Overall weekend points shall be awarded, but the points awarded for the completed heat race will be counted towards the Series Points Championship.
